Changes For A More Comfortable Bathroom

Posted on

If you are going to be making some changes to your bathroom, you should take advantage of the opportunity to make some additions that will help you to end up with a bathroom that invites you to enjoy comfort, and safety features to decrease the chances of accidents. Below, you will read about a few changes you can make to your bathroom that can make all the difference to your bathroom:

Install the right tub for your needs

If you are a person that likes to spend a lot of time soaking in the tub, or you tend to suffer from aches and pains, then you should think about having a large whirlpool tub installed in your bathroom.  This tub will allow you to soak in comfort while you enjoy the relaxing feeling of the jets putting out streams of water that make you feel as if you are getting massage.

If you have some difficulty with mobility issues, then you can have a walk-in tub installed in the bathroom. The door in the side of the tub allows you to walk right in to the tub without lifting your legs over the sides. The wide seat will give you a place to sit that isn't down at ground level, so you don't have to worry about working your way down so low and then getting back up again. These tubs can also come with jets, so you can enjoy that nice massaging sensation while you bathe.

Install a toilet/bidet

You may want to have a taller toilet put in the bathroom if you or anyone else in your house is either very tall or has problems with joint pain. A taller toilet can be more accommodating for those who are very tall and anyone who experiences pains when they try to sit or stand from a regular toilet seat. These taller toilets are referred to as comfort height toilets, for this very reason.

Installing a toilet with a bidet option is great for anyone who has certain mobility issues that makes it harder for them to wipe themselves. People with shoulder, neck or wrist pain are good examples of this. The bidet feature will come with options to provide extra comfort as well, such as the ability to change the temp of the water and being able to control where the water flows.

Install a jetted tub

No matter whether you just want to be able to relax or you have back or other chronic issues, a jetted tub is a great way for you to be able to take a bath that will help you to feel better after a log days' work, or if you happen to suffer from chronic pains.

Making these changes to your bathroom will help you to create a space that feels more as if it were designed with you in mind.
